Top 5 Alternative Stag Do Experiences

Save With Shareagift Towards …. An Amazing Stag Do Experience

Stag Do‘s are now a big milestone in the road to getting married. With so many different activities available for stag do‘s it can be difficult to find the right one for your party. We have picked our top 5 alternative stag do experiences for those looking to do something a bit different but still have a truly memorable time.

Gorge Scrambling

If your looking for a Bear Grillsesque stag do experience then a day of gorge scrambling is for you. The activities that you do depend on the company that take you out but expect waterfall jumping and climbing, rock climbing, boulder hopping, cave exploring and raging rapids. It is a physically demanding day out so ensure that all the lads are up for the challenge before you book, but once you are out in the wilderness it’s amazing fun and a great team building and bonding activity.

Mountain Boarding

Derived from snowboarding, this off-road activity will see you riding down dirt tracks and grassy hills strapped to a plank of wood on wheels. With popularity growing, mountain boarding centres are springing up all over the place and although it takes a bit of getting used to, once you have the hang it gets very addictive. A great stag do experience if you are looking at trying something new and are keen to see your friends falling left right and centre!

Underground Zip Course

Underground Zip lining courses are a great activity, and have the added benefit of being inside so it can be done whatever the weather. Usually held in caverns and caves these courses have an underground maze that you must make your way though with zip lines, rope bridges, tunnels and obstacles. The darkness of the caverns give the experience an eerie feel and gets your heart racing as you traverse the course.

Goggle Football

Goggle football is essentially a game of football but all players must wear goggles whilst on the pitch. A new activity that has been gaining popularity amongst stag do and team building experiences, the goggles disorientate the players which can often result in some hilarious football. Take a look at the video to see what we mean!

Extreme Cave Trampolining

This year saw the first cave trampolining centre open in Wales, the centre is made up of a number of giant trampolines suspended underground covered in nettling. Imagine a giant underground bouncy castle for adults, if you are after a completely new experience then this place is worth checking out. This centre has gained a tremendous amount of popularity and we are sure to see more opening now that the first one has been a success.

(This Summer’s) Top 5 Music Festivals

As we coast into the summer we approach the music festival season, which seems to grow bigger year on year. As much as we would love to spend a weekend in the sun drinking and eating rubbish and listening to our favourite artists, for many of us the price tag that many of the large festival tickets carry these days is just too much to fork out on.

Well no need to fear! Here at Shareagift we believe that everyone should be able to experience a music festival this summer, no matter how much spare cash you have in your wallet! By scanning through some of the webs biggest ticket sites such as Seetickets, Ticketmaster and Gigantic we have complied a list of the ultimate top five money saving festivals of this summer.

5 – Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC)

cheap1

At number five this Dance Festival in Milton Keynes is the most expensive on our list with day tickets starting at £60. However it has an impressive line up with the likes of Sub Focus, Pendulum and Tiesto all appearing this year! Well worth the money if you can stretch to it! www.electricbeachfestival.co.uk

4 – British Summertime Festival

cheap2

Next on our list is the British Summertime festival in Hyde Park. What we really like about this festival is the fact that it is spread over a number of different weekends, so you can pick and choose your tickets depending on the acts you want to see. This is a lot better than paying top dollar for a festival where you are only bothered about catching a few of your favourite acts. Day tickets start from as little as £55! www.bst-hydepark.com

3 – Wilkestock

At number three is Wilkestock in Hertfordshire, this is an annual charity music festival that has been growing year on year. This years line up has not yet been announced however in the past they have played host to such acts as Bastille and Ms Dynamite! Day tickets can be bought for £50 so keep an eye on this site as the line up is soon to be announced and we are sure it will be a cracker! www.wilkestock.com

2 – Electric Beach Festival

cheap3

One of the most reasonable festivals we found is the Electric Beach festival in Newquay. This is in the same location as the Boardmasters festival however it is significantly cheaper! Although the acts here are a lot less mainstream and well known it still has the appeal of surfing, beach parties and the fact that you can get your hands on some proper Cornish ice cream! Weekend tickets start at £35! www.electricbeachfestival.co.uk

1 – Fetswich

Finally for those who don’t want to fork out any money at all on ticket prices we have found a free festival in Manchester called Fetswich. This free event spans across a weekend at the end of July and features the best tribute acts from across Europe! This one if defiantly worth a look if you are up in that area of the country and don’t mind not seeing the real thing, after all you can always close your eyes and pretend! www.festwich.com

So there you have it! You can no longer say you missed out this year because of the ticket price, so get saving! Don’t forget here at Shareagift we can help with all your festival planning from raising money for a friends ticket, collecting money together for the car share or saving for that amazing tent that you were jealous of last year. Together we can make this summer the best one yet!

Best Shared Experiences To Enjoy When You’re Young

Incredible experiences are often enhanced by whom we share them with. What’s more, taking on these adventures with friends can sometimes push us out of our comfort zones and enable us to enjoy anything from incomparable travel adventures to new hobbies that we hadn’t previously considered. Here we list some of the best shared experiences to enjoy when you are young.

Experience 1

  1. House Sharing  – Going out into the big, bad world and living independently helps young people to accrue heaps of discipline in a short space of time. Living together with similarly financially challenged friends when you are young is fun, liberating and character building. You also really get a good glimpse into your own soul and that of others when you are forced to deal with a flatmate leaving their washing in the machine over a weekend or endure an impressive pile of plates in the sink that blocks out the sun.

Experience 2

  1. Backpacking  – Backpacking and travelling when you are young on a small budget is widely advocated because it involves exploring other cultures and challenging yourself physically and mentally. But these travel experiences are best enjoyed with a friend because the support of a fellow traveller can push you to interact with the backpacking pilgrims you encounter wherever your journey takes you.
  1. Music Festivals

Experience 3

Shared music festival experiences are guaranteed to produce memories that will stay with you. But it’s not all about the music and the partying. Music festivals hark back to a simpler existence and often provide an authentic community experience. This is in stark contrast to the hustle-and-bustle of modern life and, for that reason, it’s beneficial to rekindle some of this community spirit whenever you can.

  1. Extreme Sports

Experience 4

Whether you opt for BASE jumping off Yosemite’s El Capitan or white-water rafting down the Zambezi, there is more to extreme sports than the adrenaline rush. These experiences provide a perfect antidote to our safety-conscious world and enable us to appreciate the sheer power of nature. Why should this experience be shared? Somebody has to give you a bit of a push when you get scared!

  1. Volunteering

experience 5Volunteering offers you the chance to expand your horizons while putting the skills you have gained throughout school and college to the test. In particular, volunteering abroad can offer you a monumental insight into different cultures and provide a worldly view that will stand you in good stead in the commercial field as well. Most importantly, these experiences help us to appreciate what we have and respect differences when we encounter them. But such a step into a different world can be daunting, so why not walk it together with a friend?
