It emerged this week that a website for refugees which was set up by a couple in Berlin is growing in popularity. The site matches people who have a spare room in cities across Germany with refugees who are searching for accommodation. The couple came up with the idea when they decided they wanted to use their own spare room to home a refugee. They managed to raise six months rent by requesting help from friends and family.

We love the idea behind this useful website and this just goes to show how we are constantly finding new ideas and different ways to use the Internet. With this in mind we set about looking for some of the most exciting and useful websites that the web has to offer and have listed our top 10.

1 – Camelcamelcamel

This handy website lets you track the prices of any Amazon product so that you can be sure you’re getting the best deal. You will be able to see when the cheapest time is to buy your product and can even set reminders on items and the website will send you an email when they fall below a certain price.

2 – Down For Everyone or Just Me?

Pretty self explanatory, this website allows you to type in a URL and will then tell you whether the rest of the world is having problems accessing the site or whether it’s just you.

3 – A Good Movie To Watch

This will save you all those hours of endlessly scrolling through Netflix trying to find something good to watch. You can chose what sort of film the site picks for you based on genre, mood or by using a random search. The site also focuses on more indie and less well known films, which usually means that you haven’t seen them.

4 – Boxoh

As long as you have a tracking number this site lets you find out where in the world your package is, how far it has come, and its estimated arrival time. Very useful, especially when you are unsure which day it will arrive.
